I might be starting a new job. I don't wanna jinx myself. I am supposed to be called today and given an offer. We'll see what comes of it.
The truth is I think I'm up for a new job. My current one has had it's element of coolness but also a large element of frustration. In my 5 years in the workforce I feel I haven't been allowed to reach my full potential because of shitty management. I guess I shouldn't blame...one does control a lot oneself, but managers and bosses really matter. At the end of the day what they say goes and a lot depends on how much autonomy they give you, how much they empower you, how much they teach you and how much they inspire you. I've been surprised that the last 2 places I've worked at have had no concept of employee/staff development. They have had no That the conservative business opinion, the free market, and capitalism Are the best sources in getting people out of poverty. That and a genuine desire for social justice. Even business. Social capitalism. social entrepreneurship. That's What I want to be all about.
